Life Coach
What comes to your mind when someone mentions the word "coach"? Does it conjure images of a horse-drawn carriage, or perhaps a coach ride to Malaysia? Or maybe you think of someone who guides and trains, like a sports coach?
In the past, those horse-drawn carriages were the way to get from one place to another. Interestingly, the concept isn't all that different when it comes to sports coaches. Their role is to guide individuals from where they currently are to where they want to be. Think about champions like Tiger Woods or Roger Federer – they have coaches who might not be able to outperform them, but they excel at bringing out the absolute best.
It's often said that we're born without an instruction manual. Most of us navigate life as it unfolds. If things are going well, we feel blessed. When things don't go as planned, it's easy to attribute it to fate. Now, here's something thought-provoking: Nick Vujicic. You may have seen him on YouTube or visited his lifewithoutlimbs website. Born without limbs, his indomitable spirit and positive attitude are awe-inspiring. He's embraced life to the fullest, proving that limitations are just a state of mind. Meanwhile, many of us with fully functional bodies create mental barriers that prevent us from achieving our dreams, whether it's financial independence, healthier living, nurturing relationships, or pure happiness.
While I don't possess all the answers – nobody truly does – I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with FPAS. When it comes to your Personal Finance, I'm here to provide guidance. I specialize in helping you create a comprehensive financial plan that charts your path to financial freedom when the time is right.
And speaking of paths, I used to be quite the runner before Covid shook things up in 2019. Training for half or full marathons, like those sponsored by Standard Chartered, was a regular part of my routine. When the world changed, I did too. I shifted gears to organize brisk walking events, covering distances ranging from 20KM to a whopping 150KM+.
Now, let's talk about relationships and happiness. Full disclosure: I'm still a work in progress. I'm delving into research, learning, and actively practicing ways to nurture loving relationships and cultivate genuine happiness. I've even got my nose in books like "Happy for No Reason" by Marci Shimoff. It's intriguing how we often link happiness to financial milestones, fancy homes, or attaining a certain level of freedom. But here's the scoop: happiness isn't something that waits at the finish line. It's here, right now, in the journey we're on. It's about appreciating the ride just as much as reaching the destination.
So, what do you think? Isn't it about time we started embracing happiness along the way?
